What is microneedling?

Microneedling, also known as skin needling is a cosmetic procedure that creates controlled micro-punctures to the skin for natural rejuvenation. It promotes natural healing by boosting blood flow and collagen to the skin surface. What should I expect?

Before microneedling, our team at RAOOF MD Dermatology will apply a topical numbing cream so you can relax during the procedure. During the procedure, your provider will use a microneedling pen to resurface the skin and promote collagen production. After the procedure, your skin may be red for 1-3 days, but will be glowing shortly after.

We recommend doing microneedling once a month for at least three to five months depending on your skin condition. After completing initial treatment, we recommend maintenance treatments every six months.
